England have been handed a favourable Euro 2024 draw as Scotland face Germany in the opener, with Spain and Italy in the group of death.

WHAT HAPPENED?
At the Euro 2024 draw ceremony, that was marred by bizarre sex noises being played in the background, England have been drawn against Denmark in a rematch of their Euro 2020 final in Group C and Scotland will begin the tournament against hosts Germany in Group A.
Spain, Croatia, and Italy are in the so-called 'Group of Death' in Group B, with other heavyweight matchups including Netherlands and France in Group D, and Portugal and Turkey in Group F.
The top two teams from a group go into the knockout stage and the best four third-placed nations will advance to the round of 16. Check out the full group-stage draw below, with the 21 qualified teams and three more waiting to join them through the play-offs.

GROUP A
Scotland will kick off the tournament against Germany at the Allianz Arena on June 14. The competition hosts are the only side in this group to have won the tournament, triumphing on three occasions, two of which when they were West Germany.

This is the 'Group of Death'. Spain have won this tournament three times, Italy, who are the holders, have won it twice, and Croatia are always a big threat in major tournaments.
